perk will be missed

i think i could come up with 43 reasons why this is a bad trade (i wont though, because when the celts dont make it to the finals now, that will be reason enough). giving up a huge defensive presence like perk will hurt them. i guess danny 'change' didnt realize that they lost game 7 of the finals last year because perk was hurt and couldnt play. teams are going to be able to kill us in the paint now. if youre a perkins hater, you dont know anything about basketball. his defense and toughness cant be replaced. heres some highlights of what we will be missing (notice how perk works gasol under the basket, and rejects durant while being offensive fouled). i will hate this trade forever. maybe if they got dwight howard i would be ok with it. nah, even if that did happen, i think i would still hate it. thanks for all your hard work, perk. i hope you can help get oklahoma city to the finals.

  1. Who did we get for him? I've never heard of half these guys...

  2. The trade will be bad only if they don't pick up a big guy off waivers. Relying on Shaq is crazy. Jermaine O'Neal is a corpse right now . But Green is very good offensive player, that will help spread the floor. I see your point though because Perk was a huge presence and they couldn't out rebound the Lakers even with him in there. Now your short a big. Ainge has big balls I have to say.

  3. One more thing. Perk has a very bad knee and there was a good chance they wouldn't re-sign him anyway in the offseason.

  4. Celts drafted jeff green 3 to 4 years ago then traded him away to to get ray allen so, he DEF will help on the offensive end but i see him being a average defensive player, Boj, after watching the perk highlight clip i want to kick danny "change" right in the left ball, Perk was a blacker meaner looking charles barkley

  6. i agree guys. i did find out later that it was unlikely that they could re sign him so they figured they might as well get something for him. green is definitely a player with potential but i wish celts had just rolled the dice with perks contract and tried to win this year. they had a championship team with perk as the center and if they won this year but lost him in the offseason i could live with that. i just cant get with what ainge did. perk was one of my favorite players. also knee surgeries dont necessarily mean your less of a player. ive had two of them and im still a badass mofo. just reach in that bag and look for the wallet that says badass mf'er. thats mine. hammetts know what im screamin. long live 43!

  7. Perk is out 2-3 weeks with a bad knee, I think he still managed to get two technical fouls.

  8. ha yeah definitely. i always thought it was funny how pissed perk got when he would get called for fouls, even obvious ones where he would shove a guy in the back while going for a rebound.
